The Bhuiyar or Bhuyiar are a Hindu caste found in the Indian states of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Delhi, Haryana and Gujrat as a Koli or Kori. They have scheduled caste status. The traditional occupation of the Bhuiyar caste is weaving but that has declined due to mechanisation now days. |
